We’ve all heard the label, “THAT GIRL”. It started with an influencer on Instagram or TikTok. But I don’t want to be labeled THAT GIRL at this stage in my life. I ceased being a girl many years ago. But I do want to be “THAT WOMAN”. We all want to be THAT WOMAN. You know the one. We all want to be women who prioritize wellness, productivity, beauty and mindfulness. We all want to be the best version of ourselves. THAT WOMAN is a feeling we create in ourselves. To become her, you have to think about what areas of your life you want to better yourself, or do self-development.
When I think of “That Woman”, I don’t think of the TikTok or YouTube trend where “That Girl” is college-aged or mid to early thirties, engaging in self-care and self-betterment. To me, “That Woman” is all of us women who strive to be the best version of ourselves. We can be any age, any demographic, and any economic status. What I do think we are is women who strive to have everything put together.
But being her takes some effort. Being her means figuring out who you are right now and identifying what you need to do to become her. Below are some questions to ask yourself to get you started:
Who is she?
What does she look like?
What are her wellness habits?
What are her weekly routines?
What are her monthly routines?
What boundaries does she have?
Where is she living?
What does her career look like?
What does she focus on?
Who is she dating/married to?
What does her social profile say about her?
What does she spend her spare time doing?
How much money does she make?
How does she let people treat her?
Who are her role models/inspiration?
What music does she listen to?
Does she travel? Where?
How does she care for herself?
How does she dress?
How much time does she spend scrolling on social media?
What does she spend her money on?
What does her social circle look like?
As women striving to be our best selves, we have to ask ourselves these questions. Only in the asking and answering of these questions can we discover who we really want to be. How does your current self align with your desired self? Are you already her or do you have work to do?
There is also a routine associated with THAT GIRL. This routine isn’t my creation, but something I found from multiple sources when researching what THAT GIRL means. I think it’s a great place to start to become THAT WOMAN. When you don’t know where to start, resources are a great place to begin. Use the routine below, tweaking it to suit your lifestyle and schedule.
Let’s start there.
- 5-8 AM- Morning Routine.
- 8-9 AM- Workout.
- 9-10 AM- Skincare, Hair and Makeup.
- 10-4 PM- Work & Lunch.
- 4-5 PM- Hot Girl Walk.
- 5-6 PM- Healthy Dinner.
